Position: MS Desktop Security Engineer-administrator Location: Stamford, CT Length: 6-12 month Start Date: ASAP Overview: The MS Desktop Security Engineer-administrator will be responsible for engineering policies & developing a workstation security baseline. The consultant will provide a a logical and structured approach to solution design based on business risk mitigation that provide a combination of people, process, and technology. Requirements: 1. Must have 2-5 yrs Maintenance/lifecycle management of Security Baseline for end-user devices including: i. Engineers will be expected to have in-depth knowledge in one or more specific technology areas such as: Ø Windows XP, Windows 7, OS X, Linux, Embedded Linux/Windows Ø End point protection technologies (Symantec, McAfee, Trend etc) Ø Windows Configuration (Registry, Local Policies, AD and GPO) Ø Mobile Device Security [iPad, Blackberry, Smartphone] Ø Systems Management and Security Suites (e.g., Altiris, LANDesk, Systems Center) Ø Windows Scripting and Automation (VBScript, PowerShell, WMI) ii. Serve as SME in best security practices for end-user devices, OS and applications. iii. OS Hardening and Security Configuration 2. Provide 4th level escalation engineering support to internal teams. Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve problem. 3. Must have experience with MS Privilege Management Toolset. 4. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization. 5. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator (sales oriented in approach). 6. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project.
