Please send your available matching candidates on sa...@riderconsultinginc.com Role : Puppet SME (Systems Engineer) Location : Denver, CO Duration : : 6 months, Interview : phone/skype Job Description: · Build next generation cloud platforms supporting thousands of VMs and millions of customers. · Use automation to manage tens of thousands of VMs across multiple cloud platforms. · Leverage your knowledge of the build pipeline to get systems into the hands of our customers faster and with higher quality. · Demystify infrastructure for our customers by providing easy visibility into availability and performance of our systems in near real time. · Keep up with the state of the industry and make wise choices about the technology and process improvements that will have the most impact on our business. · Use your soft skills to collaborate with other Engineering customers to develop solutions to complex problems at scale, as well as mentor junior team members. The candidate should have the following qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. · 5+ years of experience in a technical position. We would preferred candidates who expertise in: · Experience in a DevOps team, or experience setting up, maintaining and coordinating the automated patch and configuration management of production servers. · Experience with Chef, particularly writing Chef cookbooks to automate deployment and maintenance of Linux and Windows application servers. · Programming/scripting with Ruby, Bash and PowerShell. Other languages a bonus. · Systems administration (Linux and Windows).
