ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

 


* 6+ years hands-on development experience in .Net (C#) and SQL Server
* Highly skilled in migrating from 32 bit ASP.NET 2.0 application to 64 bit 
ASP.NET 4+
* Should know setup of a new environment in Windows 2012
* Strong SQL development in SQL Server 2008
* Experience on SQL Server 2005, 2000
* Development experience in Microsoft Application Block, JavaScript, AJAX and 
Infragistics tool set
* Development of SSIS packages
* Proficient in Subversion
* Understanding of financial products. (Futures, fixed income, equities, etc).
* Ability to strategically and analytical solve problems and make decisions.
* Able to configure and install development tools and implement development 
environments
* Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, disciplined, 
professional, 
and a team player to multiple tasks at one time, in a fast paced environment 
handling multiple demands
* Self-managing, in a fast paced development environment.
* Extensive knowledge of software development life cycle and accepted practices.

 

Technical skills (Plus):


* Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services would be a plus.

 

Other Skills, and Experties:


* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
* Ability to work independently with minimum guidance in a fast paced 
environment.
* Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to take initiatives and 
solve problems.
* Ability to understand business requirements, provide an accurate estimate 
and deliver quality work within estimates
* Ability to liaise and work with different IT and business teams.
* Knowledge of software development life cycle and industry practices.
* Experience of working in an Agile environment is beneficial.
* Good team player with excellent communication skills interfacing various 
onsite and offsite teams.
* Financial industry knowledge is required.
* Experience of Regulatory change project is beneficial.
* Anticipate/forecast critical points and make adjustments to deliver to 
commitments.
* Effective documentation capabilities.
* Assimilate facts, evaluate perception and apply critical reasoning and make 
recommendations to arrive at optimal outcome.
* Intermediary process flow and business analysis capabilities.

·         Position reports to: Risk IT Development Manager

Description:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Essential Functions:


* Uses expertise in appropriatetechniques and tools to design, develop and 
maintain effective application software, reporting to technical lead.
* Participates to the development and implementation of standards related to 
the application development, security and system support activities.
* Performs formal and informal reviews of software development processes and 
products to ascertain quality and adherence to standards.
* Establishes and maintains control procedures for version control.

·         Monitors and tracks quality related issues and problems through to 
resolution.
