This is an excellent opportunity to participate in development of software in Data Center Group (DCG) for its next generation Nexus 7000 platform. The work involves design and development in customized networking environment for some key switching/routing protocol software. *Responsibilities*: Participate on a project team of engineers involved in the development of software for our next generation data center switch product family, with emphasis in switching/routing protocols. Define, architect, design, and deliver new software and features for the Nexus 7000 platform. You will be exposed to great design methodologies using finite state machines and various in-house tools/libraries. Write complete functional and design specs independently. Write portions of product spec. Lead development of subsystems. Design & Develop large portions of software independently and rapidly. *Skills*: 4-6 years experience. Experience in C programming skills. Experience in designing and development of networking systems with knowledge of networking concepts *Experience in the any of the following*: L2 / L3 forwarding, L2 / L3 Protocols, IP, Vlans, Mac Management, Vxlan, overlay networks, control plane/Data Plane Experience with NXOS will a plus Strong computer science background, including data structures and algorithms. Experience in design and development of networking software Hands on experience on switch/router software embedded system environment. Strong problem solving and software development/troubleshooting skills.
