Role – C# .Net Developer Location – Irving Place Manhattan, NY Duration – 12 Month Interview Mode: Phone & In-Person. - MUST BE Local And GC HOLDER OR US CITIZEN OR EAD ONLY Description: The primary role for this position is best described as application development and support. This is a hands-on technology role. The candidate must demonstrate an overall understanding of application software solutions in order to define, develop, document, support and implement technology solutions that include web and mobile technology. He/she will be responsible for working across teams in the IT and business units. Initial focus will be on a web and mobile solution that facilitates field data capture for Gas mechanics. Additional responsibilities will include existing applications and implementation of new solutions for Gas work and asset management. The candidate will work on all phases of new development projects as well as enhancements. Specific responsibilities include technical requirements gathering, performing complex systems analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, technical documentation and monitoring. Candidate will work closely with business users, IT and contract resources to analyze existing applications and recommend improvements related to business process or technology infrastructure changes. The candidate will also be required to troubleshoot production problems and determine the correct course of action. Additional responsibilities include researching and estimating solutions; and validating technical deliverables from vendors. The candidate must be willing and able to travel to the Bronx to attend meetings and provide support as necessary. The candidate must be flexible with respect to working off-hours as required for system installations and upgrades, production support or in response to corporate emergencies. Skills & Requirements: · The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering or related discipline and at least 6 years demonstrated work experience in application development, implementation and support. · A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with a programming language and 4 years’ experience with relational databases; 2 years supporting or implementing mobile solutions with iOS is also required. · Experience must include integration with vendor software solutions and full software development lifecycle (SDLC) that includes business and technical requirements gathering; design; development; testing; deployment; and support. · The successful candidate must have strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
