position: WebSphere System Administrator
Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities/Work Environment/Project Description

System Administration experience.  Will work  with multiple applications
and platforms - requires experience with Websphere application server,
message broker, MQ, UNIX, LINUX and strong scripting experiene required.

Other apps include Aldon, Clarity, Cognos, Crystal, Firepond, Initiate
(EMPI), iSpace, Kronos, MeDecision, SQL server, SXC Web Services, and Tidal
Scheduler.

There will be a knowledge transfer process for  the specific applications.

Some Database Administration experience would be great.

Responsible for system upgrades, disk management (including performance
tuning), backups and recovery standards, proactive monitoring disk growth,
coordination with 3rd party vendors.

Will be required to coordinate small projects working with application
development, teleprocessing administration, DBA’s, vendors, etc.

Responsible for maintaining the physical and technical security and privacy
of protected health information.

Support and coordinate the implementation of new workloads, maintain
Service level agreements and measurements.

Responsible for applying PTF’s, integration and installing upgrades.

Provide technical support for various core packages and maintain statistics
to validate performance. Assist developers in analyzing and resolving batch
cycle deficiencies.

Provide mgmt and audit reporting for core products such as scheduling
systems.

Must have a strong ability and interest to learn new technologies

REQUIRED SKILLS:

1.    Strong system administration experience in WebSphere application
server, message broker, MQ, UNIX, LINUX scripting (expert level knowledge.
Can train/mentor others, 5 yrs exp, with Health Insurance experience.)

2.    Strong analytical skills and experience working both independently
and as part of a team (Expert level knowledge. Can train/mentor others, 5
years experience)
