FYI -- I am not connected with these guys at all. I just got my credit card reader from squareup.com for free and can now accept credit card payments for my work (American Express too.) Very cool and free. They send you the reader after signing up for the app. It works on iPhone, iPad and

Yeah that's why I put spam in the subject cause I got the same feeling at first. But after researching awhile I realized that that was how they keep people honest with the thing. Still the process was a bit creepy. So they are legit BUT I don't know how much info a normal credit card company

I have a wireless credit card terminal and they all want at least this level of personal info if not more. Not saying if it's right or wrong, just that if you want a credit card account, that's what's required. I got the terminal for free in exchange for signing up for a 2-year contract, so
