You could try to _first_ lock the cursor then set it.
(This works for here).

This happens in version 8 and 9 (latest downloads).
I use:
on mouseUp
set the cursor to #—the ID of the image
lock cursor
wrests control of the COMPUTER from the user.

Perhaps a png would be better. That way you could show a Mac cursor to a Mac
user, and a Windows cursor to Windows users.
