I'd like to encourage people to ask and answer questions on StackOverflow. If
you work out something and you don't think it's common knowledge in the
community then you can even answer your own post so there's a record of the

Maybe I don't understand something, so sorry in that case.
Please explain in which is StackOverflow better than our forums or use-livecode
list? Why should we make next place to ask and look for answers? I tried to
visit StackOverflow links you posted and only experience is
90 percent of the issues I am trying to search and fix in other programming
languages end up being found on StackOverflow. I am not a big user there,
but it seems that it is quickly becoming the most popular help forum
directed at developers of all kinds. I think the attempt is to get the
open is "opening" :-) the flood gates to many new users - who - will need
help from experienced mentors, tutorials and examples. Experienced users
should be active answering in the forum, and it is a great place to find
answers. StackOverflow isn't a replacement for the official forum but

Agreed... Imagine your coming from JavaScript to LC and you are used to
resolving all your problems on stackoverflow. If there is only a very minor
LiveCode presence there and no tag then you would feel like there's no help
available. You might not be used to the difficulty of finding the
