Hi James,
I have a nice little stack that allows you
to play around with colours, search for new
colors and save them, give hex equivalents
of RGB values, export colour values to the
clipboard, everything you need, including
your requirements.
Send me a request off-forum.

Hi,
There is also a tiny utility available at http://www.color-converter.com
. This is shareware, made with Revolution, and converts colours
between all of the following colour spaces: Ral, hex/html, H.Lab, RGB,
CMYK, HSV and XYZ.

Hi Randall,
The math is everywhere on the internet. It was a lot of work to make
the scripts for my little utility, that's why I won't post those
scripts. It is still possible to do this yourself though, as the
necessary formulas are available out there to be found.

And one can convert to HSV directly and exclusively from RGB? Without going
out to some more universal format?

Randall,
If I remember correctly, yes it is possible. However, always keep in
mind that such conversions often include a guess about the gamma value
of a picture or the screen. Because of this guess, it is often
suggested that conversions between screen colour spaces and printing

Regular browsers have no trouble accessing the site.

In the webinar introducing revLets to all of us, the presenter insisted that
it was necessary to specify very precisely the size of the revLet in the
html tags parameters of the html father-page.

this is true.. it is a
RGB is a useless protocol unless you need to send info to a three color pixel.
It amazes me how much inhuman crap we will put up with. Are you a screen pixel
or are you a man?

The webLets showed in the webinar are autistic : they only seem to work as a
confined world with no interaction with the rest of the page.
1) Is it possible to send them parameters, perhaps via a user tag within
the object tag??
I hope they're not autistic, oh god I pray!
2) is there a way to
2) is there a way to have one weblet communicate with another on the same
page???
Yes, as demonstrated in the paint revlet which had a second stack as
the tools palette. I believe that if two stacks have the same instance
ID, they operate within the same process and so can communicate.
Cheers
Sorry folks.. I found out in the webinar that revlets can share the same
revWeb instance and then communicate (it seems to be the default).
Now remains the question of sending parameters from the html page to the
revLet. Exemple : a little revLet that allow different kind of interactions

What I have been using are the following two functions. I believe they
originated with Monte Goulding. (With a slight addition to allow for a
single parameter input containing the rgb values.)
They have been VERY useful. There are times when HSV is critical.
