the most weird error ever... my screen went blank (actually blue,
like shutdown) but it was not shutdown, then finder relaunched and
poof no applications were running, before that Rev, iTunes, Safari

If you've grouped some controls, to move the group (as opposed to
individual controls) click on the button in the tool bar above the main
window that says Select grouped. Presumably, it was dark and then
turns grey. Then clicking on any control in the group will select the
whole group

Can you tell me what 'dotted rope' tool you're referring to? The right
way to select a bunch of controls that aren't grouped, I think, is to
use the select tool and draw a rectangle around the outsides of the
controls.
