I wrote a routine that did the above 200 times in a row, and saw no increase over
time. So I wonder if some resource/buffer is being allocated for the command that
isn't
Yes, John, the RAM allocation problem I see is beginning to look like
a bug. My routine has the following line, which causes Rev to
allocate a chunk of RAM that it never releases:
export image "sample image" to file "sample file" as JPEG
So does this:
export image "sample image" to UR

This sounds more like a bug than a "feature". It is also a bit
disturbing to have your built application leaking memory. Perhaps you
should consider posting this bug on the "improve" list to make sure the
problem is noted.

FWIW, in retrospect I had a similar problem going from 1.0 on MAC to 1.1
(not 1.1.1) on PC. I think I also emailed the file to myself, although
I might have sneaker-netted it using a floppy disk. For me, the problem
came when I tried to change fonts.
Alas, I can not recall any other details,

Yes- I designed a stack with a substack on Windows 98 in rev 1.0-then I
e-mailed it to my imac running os9.2 with 128 meg using rev 1.1.1. It
opened fine and I can navigate thru the cards with buttons but when I go into
editing and try to select an image or a field to edit-it crashes immediat

do you mean rev 1.1 - or was this a typo? Now we have 1.1.1...

Why does it run so smooth on windows and so marginal on the imac?
Is my answer to add another 128meg!
Exactly how would you set the get info box o

The editing environment is rather heavy on memory. I use about 60 megs
when working in OS9.

Rev 1.1 Mac version is crashing regularly. What should the memory allocation
be for the rev. application?
