Visual effects and centre of zoom in and out

I'm trying to use a visual effect of zooming in and out to enhance 
moving between cards.

However the zooming for me is focussed on where the mouse cursor is, 
not the centre of the screen.

Is there any way I can control the centre of the zoom in / zoom out?
