They will re-appear after upgrade to Ambari 2.2.2 and you'll be able to add any
customized widgets. I'm not sure if it can be fixed without upgrade.

Another info: I just installed the "new" version 2.3.4.7 which worked
flawlessly. So it looks like the bug is 2.4.0.0 specific.
