Hi,
Im using phoenix-2.2.2 on Apache hadoop-1.0.4.
Does phoenix support REGEXP operator or is there any equivalent operator for
pattern matching using phoenix.
Please help to solve the same.
Thanks Regards

there are multiple replicas for a block, we don't need to move a block from
source - dest, just find a node with the block, and copy it to dest, then
delete replica on the source. Why? We can choose a node which is closest to
dest, or the source node is busy(too many blocks to move), make sense?

You can rely on the hadoop script to generate a usable runtime and
compile time classpath for you. So just do it as below (assuming
'hadoop' as a command is on your $PATH already):
$ javac -cp $(hadoop classpath) -d myClasses WordCount.java

Google wasn’t helpful for this question:
If a Hadoop cluster has multiple disk partitions assigned to HDFS and one of
those partitions is full,
how does HDFS react?
TIA

Hi Brian,
I'm not sure how it will react; I guess the datanode will report an
error of no space left on device and fail to serve some requests trying
to write on the partition that is full.
To solve this issue, you have to manually move files from
/dfs.datanode.data.dir//current to a
So I have built the simple-yarn-app and put the file inside HDFS
but it fails when I try run it:
[root@sandbox target]# hadoop jar simple-yarn-app-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
com.hortonworks.simpleyarnapp.Client /bin/date 2
hdfs:///apps/simple/simple-yarn-app-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar

you can keep same on both, but in your case it wont possible if you are
running with two datanode one maching.

Hello friends ,
i set up 2 datanodes on a single machine accordingly mentioned in the

RE:
There is no error reported as that specific partition will not be used for
further write requests. In the configurations, you can specify multiple
disk partitions for data node and even if any of that partition does not
exists, it is simply skipped by hadoop.

Hi,
The log messages mean ProcfsBasedProcessTree just updates internal
information via procfs. The redundant log message is suppressed after
2.1.0-beta, 0.23.8. For more detail, please check YARN-476.
