That is what my experience is. When we add nodes, the regions get rebalanced
across the old and new nodes..

Are you sure that MR job is running on the targeted cluster? Check the
configuration dir you are passing to your hbase configuration. The MR job
running on HBase should come up in Job tracker web gui.

Hi,
We are in process of migrating from 0.92.1 to 0.94.2. A coprocessor was running
fine in 0.92. After migrating to 0.94, the client is timing out
(java.net.SocketTimeoutException). We are using coprocessor to apply the
filter on one of the column and return the columns that match with that
which is fully compatible with 0.94.2
Cheers

Hi,
I am using HBASE 0.92.1+156 thought CDH 4.1.1 version. In my test cluster with
5 region servers, disk space utilization is reached to 84.39 % ( DFS is still
remaining 17,22 GB out of 469GB configured storage).
4 out 5 region servers went down today morning. Everything else is running
Hi,
We recently upgraded hbase 0.90.4 to HBase 0.92. Our HBase app worked fine in
hbase 0.90.4.
Our new setup has HBase 0.92 server and hbase 0.90.4 client. And throw
following exception when client would like to connect to server.
Is anyone running HBase 0.92 server and hbase 0.90.4
You need to apply the filter ( that filtered out Electronics items) on table
before you pass the table to mapper.

1. It is good idea to manage the region splits manually. For best practice, read
http://hbase.apache.org/book.html - 2.8.2.7. Managed Splitting
2. default hbase mapreduce splitter create a map-tasks for each of the regions,
read more details at http://hbase.apache.org/book.html#splitter
Hi,
Has anyone integrated search ( Luence, Solr or Elastic) with HBase?
We are implementing log search functionality using HBase. Through Flume, the
logs from multiple apps are getting streamed into HBase directly.
A very basic use case is to search a keyword for an application for a certain

Thanks Imran. Ton of good functionality in Smart CMS.
There are a lot of functionality, but not that they all need to be
used at once :). Let me know if you want to give your use a try with
Smart CMS, I would be glad to help you out

Hi,
I am getting the following error and hbase shell is hanging and we are not able
to connect hbase. Hadoop filesystem is fine and map reduce jobs are running ok.
Here is the warning message we are getting in the master log file.
