Hello all,

I have seen that the HBase project provides lot of features for
multi-tenancy like security, isolation in terms of resources, namespaces
etc. I saw some examples of companies like Bloomberg and Yahoo using those
features in production (HBaseCon videos).

It would be helpful if anyone can share the scale at which those clusters
are being operated at? I would also like to generally know how's the
operational burden for those clusters?

In general, what is preferred, running separate clusters for various
tenants (assume that infrastructure is really flexible) vs running a bigger
single-tenant cluster (that requires tuning of various config resource
isolation parameters)?

I know that there is no *best* approach, but what are the general
guidelines?
