Hi St.Ack,
Can you please share the command you use to run HLogPE? I have not been
able to get it works with 0.98.

Getting folks to test releases is like pulling teeths, or herding cats,
or getting three kids to agree which song from Frozen is the best
Here is my belated +1:
checked signature
ran test suite - passed, see bottom of email
pointed Phoenix at 0.98.2-hadoop2 and ran tests - passed
-

Sorry I could not get on this sooner. I do typically run a list of tests
from my checklist to verify the release, which is why I sometimes do not
vote on releases. Let me do the dutiful for this.
Agreed with the general sentiment. Please reconsider.

I do accept responsibility that the release vote was not well timed with
HBaseCon in the mix, and then the Apache email outage. The decision to
resign is still the right one for messing up.

Hey Andrew,
Sorry for the late email here, but -- I believe releases need at least
three +1 votes from PMC members[1]. Perhaps people were a bit busy last
week due to HBaseCon and we should extend the voting on this release
candidate for another week?

Too late I already put out the artifacts. I thought the release vote is lazy
consensus. If you would like me to resign as RM for 0.98 I will.

Cluster testing looks good with LoadTestTool, and YCSB.
An informal performance test on a small cluster comparing 0.98.0 and 0.98.2
indicates no serious perf regressions. See email to dev@ titled Comparing
