[Neo4j] neo4j looks in wrong directories (befuddled newbie about to crack under weirdness)

Had been using 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 Community with happy results, but tried to install 1.5M01 and failed. Tried to reinstall 1.4.2 and that also failed. Now nothing seems to work. My attempt at shell install/start looks like this: Joe:bin Joe$ sudo ./neo4j install ./neo4j: line 297: /Users/Joe/Downl
