Okay it is definitely not working. I commented out the lines:
OMAttribute defaultNS = factory.createOMAttribute("xmlns", null,
ModelService.TNS);
resService.addAttribute(defaultNS);
in
org.ofbiz.webapp.event.SOAPEventHandler
and got a response without xmlns="http://ofbiz.apache.org/service/
