I have been using onwcloud on openSUSE Tumbleweed. Sadly it doesn't
exist any more, version 9.0.0.
Can owncloud for openSUSE Tumbleweed be build again please?

You are right that it will work.
But it's not something I prefer.
For several reasons.
1) Tumbleweed is never-ending, all other openSUSE distro version are, so
the repo has to be updated al the time.
2) If Thumbleweed changes significantly it might be that openSUSE*
packages won't work corr
