UnknownHostException
Which means HBase host is not resolved.
On zookeeper server, run "zkCli.sh get /hbase/master"to find the HBase host.

You mean https://phoenix.apache.org/server.html?
I am not sure it's really heavy, so I would suggest to run it closest from
HBase server.

You can use jdbc driver already, also, you could use Spark as a proxy
between.
