[slf4j-user] Receiving strange exception - Level number 40 is not recognized.

I am receiving the following stack trace when trying to use slf4j within JBoss AS 4.0. I am using 1.3.1 with commons logging 1.1. I'm guessing it has to do with some dependency issue, and perhaps an older logger implementation. Thanks in advance. java.lang.IllegalStateException: Level number
