Hello GraphFrame-community,

our company is very interested in using GraphFrames for large enterprise tools. Therefore I would like to ask a few questions regarding the architecture of GraphFrames:

1. In GraphFrames Quick-Start Guide it says that it's built on top of SparkSQL. Is the backend on which SparkSQL and thus GraphFrames is running free selectable? We are interested in using HBase and planning on experimenting with Janusgraph as the backend.

2. How does GraphFrames scales out in terms of distributing it's graph data? Is it using a sharded partitioning as in Cassandra or HBase across a cluster of servers?

3. Currently we are doing research on how to develop a SPARQL-GraphFrames query language-converter. Any resources you can recommend which gives a detailed description about GraphFrames' query language?

Have a nice week and thank you in advance for your time!

Regards

Dennis Grinwald
