Hi,
I'm trying to build a correct JSON for usage with jsTree. Therefor I
need s.th. like that:
[
{ attributes: { id : "pjson_1" },
data: "Root node 1",
},
{ attributes: { id : "pjson_5" },
data: "Root node 2" }
]
As you can see if you need to root nodes

If you want this to be applied through out ur entire project, then create a
interceptor stack like this struts.xml and use that as pa

Yesterday I had to go back and update some changes to struts 1 app we
developed and are maintaining.
It¹s been a while since I¹ve done any struts1 work but it was urgent and
resources are thin in the lead up to xmas.
Anyway, my question is that I have two identical forms with identical

Sounds like a lot of work that hyperlinks w/ diverging URIs or
querystrings can accomplish, IMHO.
But to answer your question:
The action-form associated with this action will need a property
named "joe".
The jsp page's buttons need a name of "joe", and a value
of whatever you want render
I am putting in page that loads at the beginning of my application, and all
it has two buttons that should end up forwarding to do one of two different
actions. How can I distinguish between which button has been pushed inside
the Action class so that I can forward it to the correct page? The JSP
An easy alternative is to have a "processing" page meta-refresh to a struts
action that checks the status of the long-running process(es).
While the processing is still continuing, send the resonse back to the same
"processing" page.
When the processing is complete, send the response to a "comple
I think execute and wait interceptor will do what i want that is to give the
backend services an amount of time to do their job. If they don't do it in
that time, the struts app should send a response message back to the client.
The only problem with the interceptor is that it is not available in

Have you thought about re-creating the logic in FatalErrorServlet in a
Struts 2 Action? That would be the optimal solution. I don't think you
are going to get an *Action*Context unless you are in an *Action*. If
it has worked in the past, it's probably an unintended side effect.

We need to pull a large amount of data from a database and display in a
table.
We would like, on click of a hyperlink for a submission to happen to go to
the server to fetch the next set of data that has been either cached or
to query the db.
I am sure someone has done this before as it is quite
Hi
Can someone please help with the issue that I am seeing with Struts 2.1.8.1.
I have a page index.jsp which is protected by role "role1". when the user
tries to access index.jsp, if the user is not authorized, the user is
forwarded to a FatalErrorServlet.
I have configured in web.xml to for
I haven't tried it, but from the docs it looks like you can set the
'struts.convention.relative.result.types' variable. It defaults to
'dispatcher, velocity, freemarker' so add 'tiles' to it and see if that
works.

Your question is a bit vague, which might be why you are having
trouble finding a solution...
If I understand the problem properly, perhaps using the "Execute and
Wait" facility will help -

Hi all,
I'm working on an application that makes requests to several backend
services, and i need to establish a max time in wich the struts application
must send the http response. Is it possible to define such timeout? I've
been searching for a way to do this, but i haven't found anything.

Is there a way to use the convention plugin, and not specify the
@Result annotation for the action classes with the result being tiles
or will it only find .jsps and Freemarker templates?
When I run this code I get the dreaded:
