disabled attribute not rendered for Anchor tag

can anyone please let me know if there is any issue with disabled attribute of Anchor tag? Cause i am not getting the expected behaviour out of the tag. i used Test and expected 'Test' coming as disabled. but its not happening. Thanks, Avinash -
