I am unable to create an image. I managed to create two images earlier,
but the vms would not power off after the reservation expired. Now the
image comes up deleted if at all.
Also the root password stops working.

I think everything looks okay for your VM Profile.
Your last email with a subject of "Failure to create image" appeared to be
related to using XenServer rather than ESXi. What problems are you seeing on
your ESXi host?
I'll point out that
My guess is I don't have something configured correctly in VM Host Profile, but
I don't know what it is.

I have been there, I don't understand most of Apache VCL , but I keep going by
trial & error.

Standby, I have just started trying to use Apache VCL, I can ruin anything I
touch. It is a great consept. Is there any gurdes or books with illistrations
on how to configure/use the web interface?

It is set in the affiliation table in the database under the sitewwwaddress
field. I didn't know it was being defaulted to http://cwiki.apache.org/VCL.
Information on setting that value in the database is not listed in the install
guide.
