Hi Edmond, Why not just add an analytic plane and use the color/image tab on the properties window to add the texture to the plane. Move the plane around to suit your view. This is what I do when trying to camera match. I'm probably missing your intent. cm Edmond Sinani wrote: > > > Dear List;

Hi Neil, I have had similar puzzling thingies with large file. Are you using massing nested instances? You say it is only with older objects? Analyticals? Convert to something else? What type of light fixture with what type of shadow? Try changing to direct. Or spot with raytrace and 0 shadow qual

Hi Frank, x64 allows for >2gig ram, which helps on big gi renders. If you happen to have 2x dual core, you can use all 4 processors on rendering. Check the v6 page on http://members.chello.nl/rbroeder/ Big files seem to load faster, and 64 bit chips seem more responsive with x64 (for me,anyway). I

Hi Nandor, Make sure that your object is one object with joined faces (instead of 80 million individual triangles) if that is the way it is suppposed to be. You can also set 'wire/texture quality' to 0 on the Property window. That might help. cm Nandor Kertes wrote: > Hello again :-) > > What

Hi Frank, I have a 2x dual core Opteron at home. It's great for rendering. I'm not sure any 3d modeller uses more than 1 processor during modelling. (with the possible exception of RS evalualting the opengl texturing in a separate thread, I think) But getting 4 processors going at once at rendert
