If someone encounters the same problem, here's a solution: after replacing
the Stomp api by Zend_Queue (included in the Zend framework version 1) with
the Activemq adapter, everything works normally.

I did some experimenting today and see that when I create a durable
subscription, that subscription stays around for ever even after I
unsubscribe from the topic from the same client..
Is this a bug, issue ? or just a configuration problem?..

This is what I thought also, but it seems that in the RAR ActiveMQ does not
use the normal consumer.
I've set the appropriate settings on the MDB maxSessions is 1 and works fine
when there is no exception.
The problem only occurs with rollback and only in minority of the cases.

ActiveMQ seems to have plenty of unit tests for advisory messages.
Apollo seems to have none.
