One thing I notice is that when I remove the username password in glassfish in the resource adapter config it automatically puts in defaultUser defaultPassword. When my other test works it uses null values but it doesn't seem that glassfish likes that. I don't know if that's a problem...this

ceposta, Thanks for the response. I restarted the broker in debug mode. It shows what I thought it would...here it is: It says it's listening for connections at: tcp://LT-BQF0LX1-AUS:61616 ... I changed the config to indicate my network address rather than localhost but the same results
