Hi,
I think the main reason is we have other File related components such Ftp, Sftp
extends the GenericFileComponent and has different File type which doesn’t
share the same File parent.

maybe it is a thumb question, but I could not resolive it by myself using
google and documentation: Why is GenericFile a generic type? Or, what are the
benefits of this? I did not find any explanations about it. Thank you!
