the SSVM, and the CPVM will start, but they will not connect to the management

Not yet. Source for 4.4 depends on Tomcat 6 and Python 2.6. C7 uses
Tomcat 7 and Python 2.7. I tried hacking the code to compile on C7 but w/o
success.

I agree that Advanced Networking with Security Groups is a great option based
on your requirements, but if you really want to avoid using security groups you
have a few other options.
1. Create two zones using 'Basic without security groups' using one for
Production and one for Non
