It's not a good idea to use resource tags. Resource tags should not be
used by CloudStack itself to do business logic, just for arbitrary
metadata the admin may want.
The trick is that you want the source host to know that the
destination host has a secondary IP that can be used for live
migration
Hi, all,
Can I create tags in physical host in CloudStack ? I see template and
instance support tags.
I want to add a tag like “livemigrationipaddress” on kvm host, and change the
kvm hypervisor code support assign the live migration ip address (may be
storage network with 10gbps ) whil
We (EVRY) have 4.3.2 deployed, and plan on upgrading to 4.5 after it
reaches a certain maturity.

Hello,
What getCloudIdentifier API call does? It retrieve /signature/ and
/cloudidentifier/, but what we can do with that information? Call API
cals based of cloudidentifier and signature, like apikey and signature?
Thanks.
first time I hear this feature requested, Adrian. Guess a jira ticket
is in order.

Hello Daan and users,
We at Exoscale are now using in Production a 4.4 CloudStack base + our
patches after an extensive preproduction run with this version.
Next migration is unlikely to be 4.5. Please, let¹s adopt all proper
rebasing from one version to another in order not to have bugs fixed in
Folk in xs-devel say you no longer need xstools for live migration in xs 6.5 if
you use a rhel 7 hvm profile. Hth.

Hi,
It’s been asked before but does anyone know of a way to completely disable
NAT (specifically source NAT) on a VPC router on 4.4 or 4.5? There doesn’t
sem to be an easy way to do this via the web interface. I’d like to use the
VPC router for multi-subnet L3 routing but the ‘public’ network wo
You could theoretically extract the binaries from the shipped xs-tools RPMs
(just open them in "mc") and try to run them, but I am not optimistic.
Going to bug the people in xs-devel for some ideas on how to get some sort of
tools running in this kind of minimal environment.

Hi Geoff, thanks for your interest.
Short answer: no
Long answer: bundling the xenserver/vmware/hyperv tools and dependencies would
probably increase the size of this template many times, to a point it may
actually be worth using a minimal CentOS or Debian installation.
Additionally because Ma
Hi Nux,
I've been testing your new Macchinina Template (great work) but noticed the
XenServer version has no tools installed, are you able to get the tools
installed into the templates?
In the case of XenServer it prevents the live migration of the VM etc
