My guess is that there wasn't a new system VM template released for 4.4.3. We try not to release new ones unless there's a reason to, to spare operators of downtime. Afaik you only need the routing checkbox if you plan to use a regular template as VR template. Change the template type to 'SYSTEM

According to Google you had the exact same problem while going from 4.2 to 4.3 [1] :-) It might not have been a new systemvm for 4.4.3, and thus the database won't get upgraded with your template. Should be easy enough to check if the type is 'USER' or 'SYSTEM' in the ui. Log in to your SSVM or C
