Hi,
Just as a quick reminder, we will do the First QA days tomorrow. We should
use the Slack channel: #qa_days and IRC channel #cloudstack-dev for live
communications.
The idea, tests new and current features of master branches, might worth to
use jenkins builds and packages to speed up QA process.
Hello,
Is it able to enable "Network Service Provider" for manually added
"Physical Network"?
What I did:
1.) Create Advanced network with SG, with one guest network.
2.) Via cloudmonkey create second guest physical network.

And thanks to you, too, keep testing and reporting. This is how open source

Hi Anderi;
My KVM and ACS servers are updated Ubuntu Trusty 14.03 server. No custom
configs over it. But in this situation ACS server directly talks with Ceph
nodes which are CentOS 7 on my config.
Thanks

Hi Ozhan,
very interesting indeed as we seem to be having the same setup. What host
servers are you running and what version of kvm/qemu?
I have tried Instance > Volume > Volume_Name > Create Template and it times out
after about 5-10 minutes. This is on a small 50gb volume.

Hi Andrei;
I am using similar setup(ACS+CEPH+KVM), i first shutdown vm then create
template(Home >> Instance >> Volumes >> Root-XX) from its root disk without
any problem. I am using ACS 4.5.2 and Ceph 0.94.3.
Thanks

Right, i've done some more testing and here are my results:
1. The template creation from the GUI seem to be broken either by using Volume

2. Manual creation of templates work by doing: Volume > Download (Save locally)

Traiano,
you probably want to export the existing volumes as either a qcow2 or a raw
format (depending on your backend storage and hypervisor). Qemu-img should be
able to handle this. Once you have an exported image you are ready to import it
via web gui or manually. There should be plenty of
Hi Erik,
The ceph itself does not have a concept of templates as such, so it would be
hard to create the templates outside of cloudstack. I think the only
requirement of ceph here would be the ability to create a volume (which it can
do successfully already as I am able to create new vm instan
Hi All
I want to clone a linux vm in CS 4.5 that was imported with 2 VHDs
making up the root LVM volume.
I'd like to clone the VM root FS, but I only see how to clone one
volume at a time via the web interface, when what I'd like is a full
clone of the filesystem onto a single cloudstack volume,
@dev btw we should fix this in 4.6 as well

Ozhan,
I think it's in the agent code somewhere.
CC-ing dev@ - guys can you suggest a quick workaround for this? The CentOS7 KVM
profile does not come with VirtIO, instead it exposes IDE disks and such.

Does it work if you do it manually, ie. outside of cloudstack?
Could quite possibly be something wrong with ceph, considering you had
issues with VRs as well.

Hello guys,
Was wondering if this is a known issue that is being addressed?
I've got ACS 4.5.2 with KVM and Ceph rbd. I am unable to create Templates from
existing volumes.
When I try to create a template from a volume (50GB in size), I have a timeout
error (probably about 5 - 10 minutes af

template details? I like to fix it on my system.
Thanks
