I assume you are referring to the heartbeat scripts (i.e.kvmheqrtbeat.sh)
that check/write to storage every now and then and if storage is
unavailable, will restart KVM host ?
If so, then yes, there is some effort already about same kind of thing on
Ceph, without clear ETA.

Hi All
CLOUDSTACK HOST HA is based on NFS for heart rate detection and HA triggering
according to test results.
But now CEPH (rbd) +KVM is very stable, and it is also the preferred solution
for a large number of cloudstack users.
Does the community consider extending host ha's heart rate detecti
Good that you got it solved.

I would suggest opening Developer Tools in the browser, and observe the
iframe URL - it is loading an HTTP/HTTPS URL from the Public IP of the CPVM
(you can see it there as iframe URL, or on the CPVM itself).
1. Copy that URL of the iframe, and enter in into new tab address field and

Hello,
I did but issue exists.
Please advise.

Hello,
After recent reboot, console proxy refuses access to all VMs with error Unable
to start console session as connection is refused by the machine you are

Please advise.
Thanks
Go to global setting, then choose "Hypervisor capabilities" in the drop
down menu. Change settings as appropriate.

Hello,
I had trouble deploying a new VM. I thought it is because of cpu
resources. I checked the management server log and found that it complaints
about maximum number of running vms is reached on the host. How can I
modify this setting?
Thanks

It's enough to raised CPU overprovisioning factor only on the cluster level
(assuming 4.11).
NO need to restart mgmt at all (though it says it's needed...)
NO need to restart any hypervisors hosts
In order for correct changes to happen, you need to stop and start all the

Hello All,
I have raised the cpu over provisioning factor in both global and cluster
settings and rebooted both management and server and host. The result is
that the factor is only applied on cpu frequency capacity but not on # of
cores. Please advise about that.
Best Regards.
Jess,
Simon shared hack for existing VMs.
But you might want to make your Compute Offering HA enabled, then all VMs
inherit that (new VMs obviously).
Cheers
