Well - I found a "workaround", but it really can't be explained. I reverted to
a snapshot THREE times and retraced my steps just to validate what I'm seeing.
Short summary - When the zone is enabled and the systemvms are created a folder
is created at /var/cloudstack/mnt/VM/. This folder has
Honestly, I can live with having to go in after the wizard completes and modify

Storage is more of a priority. The systemVM builds are just looping because
they can't copy/mount the systemvm.iso to the proper
Hi everyone,
I am writing to just check if we can open this discussion again. I have such a

It is a pity we cannot share these thing and show that CloudStack is

then only restart usage .
I did follwoig also :
* stop usage server
* remove the record from usage_job for the unprocessed job

Still same thing. Not sure where the Cloudstack keep the Usage
Since there are two thread on this, I request Mike to test ACS 4.15/older
versions UI/API and 4.15.1.0 RC2 legacy and new UI. Thanks.

Hi Mike,
For 1 - it's possibly a UI bug, have you tried the legacy UI or just the
default/new UI? Or were you using APIs to deploy your zone? Please raise a bug
explaining how to reproduce the issue:

I guess I’m looking for a recovery scenario where the dead vm host is not
coming back, failed disk, caught on fire, and a reboot isn’t going to help.
Thanks

Thanks Dahn.
So far, no issues with Travis CI, Jenkins. Packaging also seems fine. Smoke
tests in progress, not observed any issues with renaming until now. I think, we
still have to wait few more weeks (until most of us adapts to default branch
'main') and watch for any issues reported with
Jemery,
If you don't have IPMI then ACS can not know for sure that the VM won't
come back. If it comes back the VM would be running twice and this must be
prevented at all costs. Maybe I am missing some functionality, and someone
else can give additional options.

Hi Hean Seng,
Have you waited the management service to come up and then restarted usage
service? It might be some race condition?

This is a problem on exit. When stopping the usage server doesn't always

A workaround is after stopping the usage server, delete the unprocessed job

I pasted that from the documentation. My end goal is if a VM host dies

Jeremy,
I don't fully understand your question. You say you are interested in
HostHA specifically but then you ask about restarting VMs when a host dies.
This would not be safe as we can't be sure a host really dies unless you
have HostHA enabled. Consequently you can't guarantee the VM won't
