Disregard my last email.
I will hold the tests tomorrow and provide data.

Hi Alex
According to the article you provided:
*Algorithm to automatically balance image stores*
Currently the default behaviour of CloudStack is to choose an image
store with the highest free capacity. There is a new global setting:
“/image.store.allocation.algorithm/”, which by defa

Hi Mauro,
Since 4.15 there has been the possibility to make a secondary storage read-only
and also to migrate between secondary storages:

Hi,
Yes, ACS does know about the other NFS servers and snapshots will go to those,
but if you already have snapshots for a given volume then subsequent snapshots
of that volume will go to the same secondary storage pool as the existing ones.
But you are on ACS 4.15 or newer you can rebalance you
Thanks Granwille for remember about this.
We try to explain this problem on this issue an year ago

Can we reflote it?

Hi Alex
So Cloud stack Management can not automatically detect the next NFS
server that has sufficient space automatically? So if I had 50 NFS
servers as secondary storage, I would have to manually move files over
and update the DB? Why does cloudstack not use the next NFS server to
store sna
Hi,
The NFS servers can indeed be in other DCs, as long as you have routing in
place.
The only way I can think of is for you to move the snapshot files (with the
entire directory structure) to another secondary storage NFS server and apply
the relevant changes in the DB (snapshot_store_ref) tabl
Hi everyone attending Cloudstack collab conference!
I’m very excited for the conference coming to my town, so as good citizens of
this splendid community, decided to organize a get together event at a local

Hi Alex
Thank you for getting back to me. I had one NFS server and all snapshots
was correctly stored on it and I noticed that disk usage was close to
80% so I added two additional NFS storage servers, but these two are at
different data centers. Now, the one NFS server is full, but now volume
Hi,
What exactly do you mean by “All three NFS servers are different subnet
servers”?
ACS does indeed “load balance” through multiple secondary storages, but ideally
you’d add additional ones long before the existing ones are full.
If a certain volume already has snapshots in a given secondary
Harikrishna,
Tried to reproduce today but it seems there is some new issue, probably
caused by the upgrade from 4.17.0.1 to 4.17.1 i did last week.
VMs cannot start as Domain VIrtual router initialization fails.
What happens is:
- a VM instance is launched (through the gui)
- domain VR (r-393) is
