Hello,

Being new to the group, I apologize if this question has already been answered.
I am curious how one overcomes the TPM issue for users that try to spin up a
Windows 11 VM from ISO? I have done some research and found that I can add some
3rd party repository to KVM and install swtpm that allows me to then create a a
vm if I add these commands to the vm creation:

--tpm backend.type=emulator,backend.version=2.0,model=tpm-tis \
--boot
loader=/usr/share/OVMF/OVMF_CODE.secboot.fd,loader_ro=yes,loader_type=pflash,nvram_template=/usr/share/OVMF/OVMF_VARS.ms.fd

My question is how has the community overcome the TPM requirement for Windows
VM’s, even those that are created from an ISO that the user uploaded
themselves? Or do you not allow them to upload their own ISO’s and make them
use a template that was created from the install of the swtpm software?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Thanks,

Brian
