Snapshots are working on RAW volumes if you have RBD or CLVM running.
Cloudstack executes a qemu-img convert command to convert the raw
partition/volume to a qcow2 file.
In this case I would look at the cloudstack-agent.err and .log at
/var/log/cloustack/agent for suspicious errors.
Usually I had
The agent is only used on the hypervisor responsible for compute nodes.
Did you run the cloudstack-setup-databases and -management programs ?
What does /var/log/cloudstack/management/management-server.log say?

It appears it can't find a suitable storage for the root disk on host id 5
or 6
How do your system offering look like (storage tags?) and how much local
storage is available ?
No suitable pools found for volume: Vol[40|vm=33|ROOT] under cluster: 1

OK, I found out that it is in fact KVM template related.
One of the disks will be treated as IDE disk or cdrom and that's causes an
issue for KVM.
Once I had chosen centos all was good.

Hi guys,
I have an interesting problem. Once I attach a 3rd volume (CLVM) to a VM I
can't start it anymore and getting ' Only 1 ide controller is supported'
Since I need even more devices, how do I get around this issue ?
Is it a cloudstack and/or KVM probem (centos 6.4) ?

Hi Guys,
who did setup a external load balancer in cloudstack ?
I setup a F5 with an assigned network offering and finally got the guest
VLAN/pool provisioning working.
But I noticed that a public VLAN was not created on the F5, so how would
the public traffic reach the device if not inline ? I ba

If I get more info I'll let you know.

First you need to set kvm.snapshot.enabled to true
After that you can make snapshots from volumes not the whole VM like ths vm
snapshot button would do (It does disk + memory which is not support in
KVM).
Just navigate to your volumes and use that snapshot function

I can only speak for me why we are moving to KVM.
It starts with license costs which will be an issue once you have several
hundred hosts like I have.
Going on we were a big "Citrix" Xen shop but after issues with Citrix
Xenserver 6 (XCP variant) like openvswitch performance issues, XAPI

Yes I verified it and it happens still.
Can't add Vlans to an 11.4 LTM device, same error.

Hi guys,
some critique to the overall cloudstack project in hope to improve it.
I personally would wish that this projects dedicates more resources into
documentation or ironing out the product.
Some issues I had during the installation of cloudstack :

Guys, I hope that there is someone who can help me.
After investing days now to get F5 loadbalancer and Cloudstack (4.2.1 build
from sources) I'm pretty much stuck, mostly due to lack of information and
documentation.
I got to a point now where Cloudstack wants to provision a VLAN to spin up
