Approximately how much time will it take to add a vector based VM Placement technique to Cloudstack? I know adding simple VM scheduler is easy - but I also need to maintain vectors for each Physical Machine and other things. I am not sure how difficult it would be for a novice like me. Is it doable in ~ 2 months? Or is going for simulators like Cloudsim a better idea to test the vector based algorithm?
