There as a Swiss based provider named CloudSigma (where I was one of their
customers loong time ago) - they were using Gluster (loong time
ago) and they had tremendous issues, reverting whole storage snapshots like
a week in the past - all of the sudden you/me see crazy lo
CEPH is much, much more used with Cloudstack than Glusterfs (from what I
see in the community).
As a product in itself it is arguably much, much more deployed than
Glusterfs.
I like Glusterfs, it's so simple to deploy and manage, but I'm afraid
it's the loser in this race.

environment
As a block point of view I recommend GlusterFs because of performance
Of course because of IO types or hardware types many things can depend but if
you are dealing with a lot of small io and want to get performa

In many documentation materials, I see CEPH mentioned but not Gluster.
Is CEPH support superior in cloudstack to gluster support?
Or is the performance of CEPH so much better than Gluster?
