Look at using KMS (key management server) to handle licensing.

Just create a template with your SLA license.
After syspreping, the serial number will stay and you can just activate it.
Ofcourse, you can enter a new serial number before activation.

Remove "IP address range" as we only specify the CIDR, not the

KMS works very well for this purpose. You install the KMS license key once on
your kms server and then tell your windows guests to activate against it rather
than Microsoft. This way you don't have to assign a key to every guest vm.
You'll have to put your KMS server somewhere that is available

Not all the documentation bugs from 4.1.0 have been fixed.
I have added some new ones but they are not issues that will prevent

Hi, Carlos. Is the VM built for PV or HVM mode? If the VM is built for
PV mode you should use a PV-enabled OS Type, such as "Other PV
(64-bit)". If a PV-enabled OS Type doesn't work at all, the VM is
likely built for HVM mode so you can try the "Other (64-bit)" OS Type.

Hi Kirk.
It is a PV image.
On CS 4.1 I notice that it now has a 12.04 entry. Do you know if it
assumes PV or HVM?
thanks

This is probably more of a question for the XS forums but thought I'd get
you alls perspective too.
We are moving buildings and need to move our CS + XS hardware. What it the
recommended way to do that?
I was thinking of the following steps:
1) stop the CS management server
2) pause/stop every VM
I would use CS to shutdown all instances. Then shutdown the management
server, then hosts, then reverse it on the other end. But wait for others
to chime in before moving forward.

Kirk is right, us CS to shutdown all VMs, this will remove any VM to Host
