Hi,
Is there a way to specify the destination IP/Server in the Network ACL Lists?
I know we can specify the Source CIDR, but what if a Customer wants to secure
his environment more?
Kind Regards,

Seems a bug ,since host went in maintenance mode there is minimal chance
for this but still good to check vm_instance table if some vm stuck on
this host .
This should help, you can modify host table in cloud DB , update
resource_State = Up and then do a force reconnect .

I tested on CentOS6, it works for me. Can you try with single quotes as
on most environments double quoted strings are evaluated by shells.
Try this:
cloudmonkey update configuration name=ldap.bind.password value='password*'

Okay I see the single quotes did not work for you as well. Can you try
to remove CloudMonkey, update pip to the latest version and try
re-installing with:
pip install --upgrade cloudmonkey
Are you able to reproduce this on a different CentOS machine?

Prashant,
Yes, this is what I've done yesterday. I've change the resource_state to
Enable, just like the other hosts and done a force reconnect. However, this was
not enough. I also had to restart the agent on the host side for things to be
back to normal. After that I could successfully run v

Hi Lucian and others. Thanks very much to this. By following your
suggestions I now have this working like snake oil. Like you mentioned
this works great out of the box. I'm now heading off to github to download
the cloudstack enabled machine program to start some serious work. Great
work and
Osay, what OS Type did you specify when you've uploaded the template to your
acs?
Thanks

Osay,
You might want to try other OS types that support PV, like Other PV (64bit) or
even one of the Linux distros like Ubuntu 12.04 (64bit). I think disk
performance might improve.

On KVM "Other PV 64bit" will give you VirtIO (paravirt) disk and network which
give you the best performance. You should always aim to use VirtIO, even with
FreeBSD or Windows (though drivers will be needed for this one).
CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu profiles might work, too, but I think at this stage t
Hi there,
actually we use “Ovirt” and evaluate cloudstack as alternative for our

The cloudstack Server shall be installed in the same network as our real

Thanks Lucian. Actually I'm running this off of Xenserver. I'll try with
"Other PV 64bit" and perhaps Ubuntu 12.04 to see the differences.

We are looking into extending oVirt so it works with CloudStack.
Specifically, all operations that are executed, must be proxied through
CloudStack.
Its all conceptual at this point, but if it does happen - we will write
the integration and share it with community.

CloudStack has a concept of network offering, which is what router VMs
will use as its "template" or the type of services you would want your
router vm to have.
Keep in mind, router vm does not have to do the routing, its just one of
many features.
In your case, you will have to choose eithe
