Hi guys,
we are experimenting cloudstack sdn with opendaylight and we did not find
any documentation about its setup.
We found some videos on internet but it is not clear how we must configure
opendayligt witch cloudstackfor example:
which is the url we must specify in cloudstack Service Provi
Hello everybody.
I'm experimenting with devcloud-kvm following instruction in
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CLOUDSTACK/devcloud-kvm on
Ubuntu 14.04.
I get stuck on the very last step, the command: "python
marvin/marvin/deployDataCenter.py -i
devcloud-kvm/devcloud-kvm-advanced.
Marcus in cc wrote devcloud-kvm a while back,
he might be able to help.

Thank you.
I found the log of the command:

This is very odd.
I logged in on the management console

on, using url

(it should be the same used by Marvin that caused the error below), and

Hello,
It been a while ago ,we was talking about having the citrix disaster
recovery solution implemented in the cloudStack 4.5.
But as we sow there is no DR service on the last cloudstack release.
So i'm wondering, will citrix publish the DR service on the future
CloudStack releases ?
Thx.

Hi Cruz,
Thank you for reply.
Will it be safe to remove (# rm /var/log/cloud/vmops.log) and it won't
create any issues in future, right?
Thanks,
Anil.

Hello,
On my deploiement cloudstack 4.4 and xenservers 6.2. i have configured
multiple networks each one for a specific traffic type
(Public,management,storage,guest).
these networks are isolated and vlan tagged ,so on my xenservers i have
the 4 networks each with a specific name label and point
Hi Nux!
As nice as your openvm templates are, I'ld resist and build our very own
images - just to be 100% sure to only have selected software from
trusted repositories.
Using externally built images/templates/containers is a general no-go
for all production infrastructures I know.
cheers,

Hello again.
The execution of last command (python marvin/marvin/deployDataCenter.py
-i devcloud-kvm/devcloud-kvm-advanced.cfg) run (apparently) correctly,
and I am able to enter the management console.
But I'm not able to upload a template nor an iso image at all. Digging
inside the log file
I'm not a Marvin guru, but if all else fails you can set up a zone manually
via the UI, using the parameters outlined in the advanced cfg.

Stephan,
Absolutely, this is how I do it as well. :-)
Also, that's why I also publish the kickstarts, so people can just reuse them
to build their own stuff.
I also do realise many people are new to this, so it's mostly them who need the
templates.
I hope in the future the quality and number of
Thank you for your replay.
As I explained in my previous mail, I managed to overcome that problem
fixing the advanced.cfg file.
Now I'm facing a problem with the secondary storage not working that
prevents me to upload my own images. After (a lot of) digging, I
discovered that the Storage Sy
Hi,
Your public network also has a Traffic Label, pointing towards a certain
interface/bridge in XenServer. If you specify no vlan, CloudStack will assume
it is untagged. You can then still point towards an interface/bridge that is
tagged with a vlan. The alternative is to point towards a more
FYI: Newer releases (4.4.4 and 4.5.1) have a global setting that allows you
bump the minimum required version of the systemvm template. If you then also
register that systemvm template version you’re done (apart from rebooting your
systemvms).

Hi Rohit,
Could you see if you can add this bug fix as well? It fixes the X-Forwarded-For
header in HAProxy.

Thanks,

Hi,
My problem is that when i create a virtual router and then delete it ,i
loose the network configuration on that host (the vlan id and the bond
name),this loss of configuration does not affect all the pools host but
only the one where the the vrouter was created, after this i start having

Ilya, Thank you for your reply.
We are using XenServer 6.2/6.5. Is there any open source product to replicate
single VM of Xenserver like Hyper-V replica for Hyper-V?
Thank you,
Suneel Mallela.

I am assuming that you're running with Advanced Networking.
In general, only your VR needs to be on the Public Network, and as such
there is no reason to have it configured on the host(s) if there is no VR
running there.
This is intended.
Why are you deleting it in the first place?

Hi,
Has anyone managed to update/add doc for upgrading xenservers (like from 6.2 to
6.5) with pool HA configured ?
