What version of OS and Java? I've had problems with Cocoon 2.1.8 and Java 5 (j2sdk 1.5.0_05 in my situation) in Windows 2000 Server and 2003 Server. I had to revert back to Java 1.4.2_xx (I'm running 1.4.2_10). The problem occurred regardless of the Java-Tomcat combination used (Java 5 - Tomcat 5.5
