I've got the same problem using cocoon 2.1.4, the error message is:

Isn't the cocoon:/ implicitly used in the sitemap? Have you tried without
the protocol?

Why don't you try with a newer version of Cocoon.
E.g. with Cocoon 2.0.4, 2.1.2, 2.1.3 it has worked ok for me.
