Thanks for the patch. I will check how it will go. ;-)

Just boot normally with default kernel and login as root (without
password) and just type 'startx' and you would see fvwm working.

a bit confused RAID10 isn't like JBOD which will calculate the
total 8TB of HDD space in four 2TB each as 4TB (half of the total
capacity)?
Or did I miss something? How do you guys install DFBSD to a RAID10? Thanks!

v3.0.1 changelog is very intriguing!
I am trying to test v3.0.1 by installing to a CF with four advanced
format HDDs (of same size, 2TB each)
What I am planning is:
1) Install either the 64bit iso/img to a CF from a development machine
with msyslog/rsyslog
2) Boot from CF onto a machine with 4HD
.

Problem with X86_64 GUI image confirmed. I tried to boot to get:
"Unable to /boot/kernel/kernel

That's good deal, but from which vendor? Curious?
I am sharing my wishlist with DFBSD. Please feel free to share yours:
1) HAMMER2 with volume management and internal cache
2) A strip-down script like nanoBSD to downsize dfbsd for low-powered systems
3) New installer that allows to install in multiple physical disks

Thanks Matt: I have been trying my best to create 3 (12TB each)
servers with dragonflybsd with HAMMER to avoid zfs, but from what I
read below, I have no option than going for a freebsd+zfs (with
nanobsd).
I indeed enjoyed being here and appreciate very courteous and

worry whether I could really go for a dfbsd production server?!!!

I am just wondering which is better to work with HAMMER. I found
1) softraid with natacontrol (

Best of luck for the forthcoming release and merry xmas and happy new year!
Just waiting whether multimaster in HAMMER ;-)

Hi:
I am trying to experiment with HAMMER with a spare PIII/500Mhz old
machine with 256MB of RAM. I installed the RELEASE-2.10 version of
DFBSD. But when I try to execute "hammer cleanup", it spits out an
error that reads:
"hammer: System has insufficient buffers to rebalance the tree. nbuf < 3
. Any clues? Thanks!

Hi:
1) I am trying to install dfly-2.10-i386 release. I burnt the CD
several times (of course did checksums beforehand). It reaches at 27%
which reads:
/bin/cpdup -o -vvv -u /boot /mnt/boot
and after a long time, it spits out an execution failed error saying
"failed with a return code of 1".

nanobsd.sh can do wonders indeed. I am fascinated by Paul's approach

recently FreeNAS also took the same approach (

I am just wondering if there is something equivalent to FreeBSD's
nanobsd.sh or something in the making? Just wondering.

Appreciate your thoughtful inputs! Apology in advance if my post above
appears to be pretty naive. Thanks in advance to the entire DF
community and developers!
