The latest release of MedaiWiki is 1.13.3, and we are still running on 1.11.1. I have done some testing today on upgrading an existing 1.11.1 MediaWiki to 1.13.3, and all seems to have gone fairly smoothly. All extensions are working except one, ToggleDisplay. We are using the ToggleDisplay extension for testing on a proposal for changes to the Documentation Wiki page. If there is anyone else using this extension please speak up now! I cannot guarantee that this extension will work immediately after the update. I will work on getting it working as soon as possible after the update If no one has any objections, I would like to schedule the upgrade for Thursday 15 January 2009 at around 10:00 CET. The Wiki should not have to be offline for very long - just a few minutes for the database upgrade scripts to run. I will put the Wiki into read only mode before the upgrade so that no one is in the middle of editing pages when the upgrade starts. Rough schedule: ~ 09:30 CET - Wiki is put into Read-Only mode ~ 10:00 CET - Wiki is taken offline, and Wiki engine is upgraded ~ 10:30 CET (or earlier) - Wiki is returned to normal service If there are any major changes to this schedule, I will communicate them here. Future upgrades/updates ======================= MediaWiki 1.14 is due out soon. I would like to move the OOoWiki to this new release as soon as possible after it is out. This means that there will likely be another update to the Wiki engine before the end of Q1-2009.
