How to make an LDAP connection to AapchDS (I am using 1.5.5) keep-alive so
that the socket will not be closed when not used for sometime/or when
ApacheDS is inside a firewall?
Do you have any way to do this?

OK thanks for the reply. I have a partition and all my entries are under
that partition. What I replaced was the master.db from in system folder not
in my partition folder so will it affect?

What for ? Is there any reason you want to transform your string to a
byte[] ?

doesn't return a byte array? How do I store String values in binary format?
